  1. Jose Hernandes- writer and politician, authored the poem Martin Fierro, the national poem of Argentina.

  2. Bernardino Rivadavia- first president of Argentina

    3. Juan Peron- The husband of Eva Peron "Evita'' and past president of Argentina from 1946 to his overthrow in 1955. Created the largest political party known as the Peronist Party that still exists in Argentine society.

   4. Eva Peron ''Evita''- The wife of former Argentine president Juan Peron and past Argentine first lady. She is the inspiration for the Broadway play ''Evita" and the film starring Madonna.

  5.Diego Maradona- Another famous soccer player from Lanús Argentina.

   1.Lionel Messi- all-time leading goalscorer and holds the national record for appearances.

   2.Pope Francis- Hailing from Buenos Aires, 81-year old Jorge Mario Bergoglio is the 266th pope of the Catholic Church

1. La Casa Rosada / " The Pink House"- Located in Buenos Aires the Casa Rosada is the Argentine equivalent to the United States' White House.

2. Caminito "Little Path''- Is a famous alley in the neighborhood of La Boca in Buenos Aires. It is a great tourist destination, because of the dancing and music that occurs there. Also the inspiration for the famous tango ''Caminito'' by Juan de Dios Filiberto.

3. Patagonia- This is a very cold region in the South of the country. It is popular, because of it's abundance of glaciers and snowy mountain hiking opportunities.
